Five Friday Favorites

I have really been failing my New Year's Resolution of posting 2-3 entries per week here on the blog. Instead of giving in to defeat, I decided to brainstorm ideas that would help me conquer this resolution. I have decided to make a permanent weekly post on Fridays called "Five Friday Favorites." One of my favorite bloggers, Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere, does a "Five" post on Fridays that I absolutely adore and look forward to every week.

This week my "Five Friday Favorites" are 5 of my absolute favorite bloggers. I have MANY more than just five blogs that I love, but I had to go along with the theme and cut it down to 5. Expect a second (and a third) edition of Five Friday Favorites featuring my favorite blogs in the future!

Check these ladies out and you won't be sorry :)

In no particular order:

Happy Friday!

Roadtrip for Sisterly Love

This past weekend Tyler and I decided to embark on a spontaneous roadtrip purely out of sisterly love. My younger sister was in Arizona for a school-related trip and it's not often that we are within driving distance of each other, so Ty and I packed up the car and headed to AZ! Got to see some cool sights, stay in a sketchy hotel, but most importantly got to have some sister time :) Only thing missing from the weekend was our other sister to complete the trio!
Ty and I got caught in a MAJOR desert dust storm on the way, but we were determined to push on!
Finally made it! Make-up less and tired, but just glad to see my sister.
Rooftop bar at Clarendon Hotel in Phoenix, AZ. Amazing view of the pool...the walls behind the chairs next to the spa were giant waterfalls!
Saddle up cowboy!
View as we were driving through Tonto National Park.

Insta Love

Ok, yes, I do realize that I have already failed one of my New Year's Resolutions (2-3 blog posts per week). Things have just been super hectic as of late and on top of that I still have not been able to completely kick this cold, sinus, sick feeling! I'm really working on posting more frequently, but for now, my friends and readers that are looking for updates that come more than once a week, you can follow me on Instagram! It's an app for the iPhone that easily allows the user to transform their photos through the use of filters and share it with all their friends. It's been my newest obsession for the past couple months, so download the app if you are an iPhone user and follow misslively (that's me!) for glimpses of my day to day finds and inspirations!

Windy Weekend

This weekend, we tried to take some pictures that we could possibly use for a Save-The-Date and to send to my mom and sister for some mysterious project they won't tell me about. Despite the wind, the dash to catch the last light of the day, and my severe sinus infection...I think some of them turned out pretty cute! Here are a couple of my favorites...

2012

Picture from a little Holiday Outing we took to downtown Riverside to see the Mission Inn lights.

I am not a New Year's Resolutions kinda girl, but this year something changed. Not sure why, but I decided to go for it this year and make some resolutions. I had always hated making them in the past because the resolutions I created were continuously too vague or I bit off more than I could chew and then the idea of resolutions were just depressing instead of a positive way to jump start a new year.....so this year, I was very specific with my resolutions and they are things I know I can achieve, but will still impact my life in a significant way.

1- Publish 2-3 blog posts per week (minimum).
2- Set aside designated funds per month towards the wedding and then towards savings after the wedding.
3- Be more aware of what I'm putting into my body as far foods, alcohol, sources of hydration, caffeine, etc.

Simple, yet can make a significant positive impact.

Anyone have unique or exciting resolutions for 2012? I'd love to hear them! Maybe the best ones will even inspire the next blog post!
